Foreword
By The Rector Of Bina Darma University
In the competetive global era, national and multinational corporations require quality university graduates who are skilled in their field of study and competent in foreign languages. These graduates are qualified work force and able to compete with their foreign counterparts educated in quality higher educational institutions. The mission of Bina Darma University is to prepare its students to become good citizens with a set of academic and professional capacities and able to compete in the competitive global era.
To achieve the mission,
Bina Darma University has proved itself to implement quality management and
performance in relation to the existing government regulations. Its accountability
and responsibility are evidenced in providing good public services. One clear
proof of its achievement is that Bina Darma University has been able to acquire
an international certification of ISO 9001/2000.
I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to the following institutions in
helping Bina Darma University undertaking its mission:
- Department of National Education, via Consortium of Private Universities in providing Asian Development Bank's grant programs and Semi-Que projects; This assistance enables Bina Darma University to send 10 lecturers to pursue their graduate study abroad and in-country;
- Provincial Govermnment of South Sumatra that provides supports in every way; and
- Government-Owned Companies and other institutions that support us
As a holder of ISO 9001/2000 - as proof of its quality management system - Bina Darma University requires its community members to plan and to implement every activity well and its resutls are quantified objectively. This shows that it attempts to achieve efficiency and effectivenss. It, therefore, indicates that Bina Darma University undertakes its educational mission and processes in line with the existing government regulations and guarantees that its graduates meet their expectation and of their parents, government and society.
